Benefits of Rosehip Tea

Updated: Dec 16, 2024

Rosehips are a part of the rose family. We see this in their bright red color, thorny stems and their affinity for the heart.

These bright red berries are rich in vitamin C and our family's go to when we get sick to help boost vitamin C and reduce the duration of whatever bug is making it's way through our home.

I'm sure you know you should take vitamin C when you are sick, but do you know why?

This essential vitamin aids in the rapid replacement of old cells with new ones. It has been proven to decrease the length and intensity of upper respiratory tract infections, shield against environmental toxins, and safeguard the healthy proteins, fats, and carbohydrates necessary for maintaining health. Additionally, it stimulates the production of white blood cells, the primary cells responsible for combating infections.

Moreover, rosehips positively impact the cardiovascular system by strengthening the vascular system's integrity. They serve as a daily tonic to decrease capillary fragility and permeability. Additionally, rosehips are useful for the long-term management of varicose veins, degenerative vascular conditions like atherosclerosis and hypertension, as well as diabetes and allergies.

Rosehips, specifically when used in tea, has mucilaginous properties that can help coat the mucus membranes. This is particularly helpful when you have a sore throat and can help soothe the digestive tract after a bout of vomiting or diarrhea.

Tea is the easiest and my favorite way to get rosehips and it's benefits into my system.

I love this tea blend and it has worked so well for clients and loved ones. Admittedly this is a very allopathic way of using herbs.
